I am a huge sci-fi geek who currently lives in Minnesota. This summer, however, my husband and I are selling our beloved house and moving to Indiana, where I will attend the counseling psychology Ph.D. program at Ball State University. I am married to the love of my life, Carleton the Cuteness, and we are both mildly obsessed with our Shih Tzu, the Bunting. I have resolved to take a picture every day for the next year, but I am a very amateur photographer and live a very boring life, so I don't expect them to hold any interest for others.

Looks almost like a watercolor that someone smeared before it dried. Very pretty. :)
Thanks! :-))

Beautiful shot. I love the composition. I'm not sure what it looked like originally, but it looks awesome in black and white.
Thank you very much!

Graduating is definitely good. :) I'll be in school for another five years, so I can't look forward to that, unfortunately. But four classes isn't too bad--do you work full time as well?
No....I'm not working right now. My boyfriend has afforded me the luxury to be able to focus on my school full time....so I really can't complain because I have all the time in the world to do homework, it's just a matter of motivating myself to actually do it...I'm a bit of a procrastinator!

Cute animals. Pet stores kill me, though...
I know...I always want to leave with like 100 pets! haha...

I feel your pain. :( My books cost $510 this semester. Fortunately, I get a 10% discount because of my graduate assistantship, so they ended up being $450 something. It's still a ton of money, though. :(
I know, yuck! I wish we had better plans to help pay for college! The cost is just ridiculous!

That's wonderful news! And your celebration dessert looks scrumptious...
Many thanks, Laura! It was well worth the wait and the frustration. I no longer feel like an alien in a foreign country. Interesting how a tiny card can make the difference to one's well-being, isn't it? Best regards.

Wow, marathons. I don't know if I'd ever do that. The MS Walk is enough for me, I think... :) But good luck!
Thank you, we sure will need it! I just still laugh because who would of ever thought we would be doing this...running is something that is pretty new to us! and here we are ....a year later training for a marathon!
