Hi

I want to share with you what is fast becoming a real passion for me and that is street photography.

I have decided to share my photos via a blog rather than just a website as I want to explain in some cases why I took the shot and what it means to me.

My reasons for keeping this blog are simple. I want, whilst I am still able, to document the humanity that I see around me. In the UK we may soon be unable to do so because of the fast burgeoning Human Rights Movement that is set to stifle our right of free expression as artists.

Soon we may be unable to take photos in public and we will lose so much.

God made man in his own image - it would be a crime if we were to lose those images.

Please forgive me if I get a bit preachy at times but I feel strongly about this.

As a result I am taking the opportunity to "post" some postcard sized copies of the images I take close to where the images were actually taken. I print them off with a "Streetlens" logo, laminate them and then covertly stick them to unobtrusive places in plain view. The double sided tape I use is for exterior surfaces and leaves no trace when peeled off. I will mention in my blog how long they lasted. It will be interesting to see of there is any reaction and I would like to hear from anyone who has done the same kind of thing.
