so last night's discussion really got me to thinking about HDR photography, and light and shadow.
most of the
HDR pictures on Flickr I've looked at appear technically excellent, but lack shadows.
Yes, light is how we tell stories, but shadows are how we define the light. I like shadows. But that's just it. it's a preference. HDR photography is still art. But HDR is no substitute for good composition.
The D90 will do multiple exposures in-camera, which is like HDR. not sure I'm a fan.
