Each day that I work as a newborn photographer I am reminded of how precious life is. I encounter sick babies in NICU, mothers enduring postpartum depression, overjoyed parents cradling their newborn for the first time...some who have been trying to conceive for years, and - like today - adoptions. Today's encounter was a mother of two older girls who had just given birth to twin girls. I listened to her story and shared some of my own. I thought about her struggles to not bond with the infants and how her generous gift will forever enlighten the receiving parents, who couldn't have celebrated an addition to their family without her. While most life cycles begin with life and end with death, this grieving birth mother has made the selfless decision to breathe life for another... allowing the cycle to continue onward. Her words: "God has a plan for these little girls."

You would never ever know you are a 'newborn photographer'...... I think the artist that exists in you already knows composition, color, and light already and is able to see art thru the lens..... Not everyone is able, but you my darling can....
