Phra Attharot is a Sukothai image style and was built in Sukothai period same as Phra Phutthachinnarat. Once time there was Wiharn, which made from Si La Lang covering the image, but it collapsed and leaved only the ruin until nowadays. Word meaning : Attharot : (Bali-Sansakrit language) eighteen. Wiharn : the place for Buddism activity or caremony. Si La Lang : an orange-red porous rock which highly use for the building in ancient Thai period such as in Sukothai or Ayuttaya period. |
