2009.01.31
From jugglers and contortionists to unicycles, clowns, musicians, aerialists, living statues, sideshow artists and acrobatics, brought World Buskers Festival down under - Christchurch, New Zealand from 22 January to 1 Feburary 2009.

NZ$2 donation to entry Christchurch Busker Comedy Club for the night show (adult content). No bring your own food, drink, seats or chairs, but cushions ok.

A former National Gymnast and dancer in UK, BENDY EM'S (Emma Tunbridge) now lives in Australia as a Yoga teacher.

Emma has amazing ability to twist, turn and fold herself into a small box.

Emma bends and contorts her body into freakily mind-boggling positions and squeezes herself into a tiny 16’ Perspex box.

Miss Saturn(Jenny McGowan from USA), a physical comedian and character actor is turning around 80 hula-hoop (she claims that 80 is the world record till now).

Like kiwi birds, New Zealanders are quite shy. The jokes the comedians (such as MICKEY D-Australia, TE RADAR-NZ, Derek Flores-Canada, etc) made about kiwis and ozs really raise loud laughs.

living statues: angels

The Gargoyle is the creation of Patrick Duffy (New Zealand actor, designer, award winner at the NZ Wearable Art Awards). Play with him – at your own risk!

Clown LOTO(Japan), a former businessman knows how to grab audiences by sweeping the floor and reserving the clean seats.

Be it acrobatics, ballooning, clowning or doing plain ole’ stuff, clown LOTO promises to have you laughing it up! No English language requirement.

Clown LOTO balances with just one hand on three chairs.

Noa and Uri Weiss’ 'CIRQUE NO PROBLEM' is a comedy street show with their Iserali accent and humor.

They flip, flop, twist, turn and tumble, all while atop their purpose built mobile trapeze.

The Iserali couple juggle and perform acrobalance.

The Cloghoppers ((Frank and Beth, UK) lasso themselves.

Mr Fish(Australia) juggles machetes and ride a 3m unicycle with one leg all whilst balancing a gold fish on his foot! His amazing skills even enable him to kick this fish through the air so that it lands in a gold fish bowl balanced on his head.

Slackwire Sam (Sam Johnson, USA) shows the mixed skill of slackrope with a little bit of juggling and a lot of comedy.

Watch out the knife running towards Sam's chest!

Reuben Dotdotdot (Australia) defies gravity without hands on the Chinese pole.

Reuben claims he is not easily broken even though he is MADE IN CHINA (a tattoo on his waist).

acrobatic stunt with a one handed balance 5m in the air thanks to his Chinese background

Apart from whip-cracking, acrobatics and unicycle performance, Space Cowboy(Australia) swallows a sword. He is the Guinness Book of World Record holder for the most swords swallowed at one time (an astonishing 27).

Rob Williams(USA) is a foot-weilding sandwich maker! Are you brave enought to eat the world’s only foot sandwich. He holds one Guinness World Record (involving his feet, of course).

Collecting the donation at the end of show is also regarded as part of the performance, depending on the performers humor and imagination. A big busket doesn't automatically get more $$$ than a small hat.

No EXIT without put something in this EXIT bag.

The Japanese clown uses a Kiwi audience to collect donations by putting a gun against his head.
