Ellerslie International Flower Show, one of the top five flower shows in the world, was hosted by the Garden City-Christchurch, New Zealand in Hagley Park from 11 to 15 March 2009, following the Festival of Flowers started on 20 February, showcasing more than 30 display gardens, Hort Galore, Floral Art Marquee and Starlight Marquee.

Ellerslie International Flower Show had been annually held in Auckland since 1994. Christchurch purchased the show for an undisclosed sum in 2007, expecting over NZ$14 million annually into the local economy.
