Culture Galore, an annual community event that celebrates the colourful cultural diversity, hold on on Saturday 14 March 2009 at Ray Blank Park, Christchurch, New Zealand.

Over 50 ethnic groups perform their traditional culture on the stage, range from Egyptian belly dancers to traditional songs and dances from Sri Lanka, China, Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Bangladesh, Peru and Fiji.

Culture Galore is going green in a bid to promote sustainability throughout Christchurch. All food stall holders use biodegradable products throughout the event. All the materials used to eat the delicious selection of foods on offer, will be recycled after the event to ensure there is no waste.

A dozen of police with different cultural backgrounds are working closely with the local community in Christchurch.
