Miri, a division in Sarawak on the Malaysian side of the Borneo Island, is known as the oil and gas town of Malaysia. It's first 'nodding donkey' was built in 1910 and henceforth oil has helped turned the once quaint fishing village into a booming township, full of expatriates serving the industry.

It's fast developing and in 2005 was elavated to city status.
