Selective Desaturation to Enhance Portraits

2007.05.18
73% Sepiatone with Enhanced Eye Color

Black & White with Enhanced Eye Color

Black & White with Enhanced Eye Color but Less than Above

Original

Selective Desaturation can be used to highlight some beauty feature or significant prop, like a bouquet of roses.

PLEASE,...Use your powers of observation now and vote on your favorite of the three.

Have I enhanced the original well in any of the variations? I really want to know. I value your opinions. This is an area in which you need no special training nor experience in post-process.

At this stage I need to know what sells "on the street." Consider your kindness an investment in my ability to help my family. I am eternally grateful!

Thank you for your help!

P.S. - There really is no pressure! I will continue to improve & help my family whether you comment or not. My request is simply my compliment to you... :)

Carley I vote for the sepia one...... I find the blue eyes too much in the first black & white......a little better in the second black & white. But to me it looks like the added eye color belongs in the first one and not in the other 2..... Are you doing this professionally?

777STAN Yes, Ma'am! I am doing this professionally...more or less successfully! (I'm still in the transitional education phase of a mid-life career change.)

"Find a Niche & Scratch It!" has become my personal motto. I'm still scratching a lot of niches to find the one that fits me. :}
