Recently, I have been working on creating poster-ready photos from daily work. As with any new venture, some attempts amaze even me. Yet, some other attempts, send me quickly back to the drawing board.
Admittedly, I am one of THE most unusual professional photographers you will ever meet.
Every PRO has a few "skeletons in their closets" photographically, but pretty much all of these are kept "under lock & key"...much like presidential politics (in the U.S.) prior to the 1970's.
I just don't stay as emotionally attached to having an untarnished reputation anymore. I tried it their way for a while, and people still didn't give me the credit I thought my work was worth.
Now, I relish the aspect of teaching photography to people who want to learn...as I keep learning & improving. Maybe one day I, too, will get to the level where I want to keep my mistakes "under wraps."
Until then it is my pleasure to share the experience I DO have with those who want to learn. Thank you for the privilege and the consistent kind remarks.
I have seen many fine examples of photography throughout Photoblog.com. Many of these greatly overshadow my own talent. It is my continued honor to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the world's finest photographers.
KEEP ON OPENING THE SHUTTER...EVERY CHANCE YOU GET! :)
Humorous, fun posters! And a great writing too. I'd have made posters except I'm not very keen on people photography, a little photographic pt peeve I have. I like your writing, and how photoblog is a place for photographers from the amature to the exquisite, from the unique to the amazing.
