A close relative of the hybiscus is the Rose of Sharon (hybiscus syriacus) is one of my favorite flowers...
The name shows up in the Hebrew Scripture Book of Canticles (i.e. Song of Solomon) and has become a common nickname for Jesus Christ among Christian hymn writers.
One amazing aspect of the way HIStory records the life of Jesus is the fact that almost every great world religion admits that Jesus was great, even if it does not admit that He is GOD!
Probably THE best known and most universally respected Christian alive today is Dr. Billy Graham. Every great world religion would most likely concede that Dr. Billy Graham is great, even if it does not accept the exclusive message he preaches.
May I learn to be the kind of man that they are so that my story may be filed under the heading: RESPECTED, EVEN BY THOSE WHO DISAGREED!
I still have much to learn, but I pray that it gives YOU hope that I want to learn. :)

Billy Graham came to preach in Geneva, and I went to listen
to him, I was about 19 years old at the time. Quite a man,
but the singers were exceptionnal. :-)

I am well aware that my beliefs are very much in the minority. Because they are minority beliefs I have debated with myself many times about sharing them. I have decided that since the fabric of humanity is made of many parts, I must continue to contribute my part to provoke thought hopefully without provking animosity. This is the approach of Dr. Billy Graham.
I speak these additional things not because i felt the need to respond to anything you said, but I feel a need to further clarify why I speak about so often about my beliefs.
Your mention of Dr. Graham was simply a gentle reminder to share from my heart that as sports fans rave over their favorite teams,...I should be just as open about raving over my amazing Friend, Jesus! :)
