Great Ball of Fire!

2008.01.02

"God is so Awesome!

"He keeps a personal furnace, called the SUN, stoked & percolating every day in order to explode megatonage of hydrogen and other gases for the sole purpose of keeping humans at the right temperature so that they don't burn up nor freeze.

"Actually, The LORD is a great 'plate-spinner'.

"On the one hand, He keeps the sun stoked and burning brightly. On the other hand, He keeps the Earth circling the sun at the right distance and tilt to keep our personal themostats operating properly.

"Now, let's add just one more little wrinkle into the mix.

"The sun is not stationary. It is hurtling through space at millions of miles per hour. This, also, means that the Earth has never travelled the same ellipse around the sun twice.

"All these variables add up to being amazing skills that God performs for humans every second of every day.

"To create a mental picture that we humans might understand...It would be like a man driving a motorcycle at 80 mph down a country road while holding a lantern out front & twirling a soap-on-a-rope at the necessary circumference to the lantern without permitting the lantern to go out nor the soap to slip out of position.

"Sadly, even with all this evidence, some people still don't believe that God exists! Dude!

"This reminds me of the funniest thing that I ever heard a stand-up comedian say, 'Teenagers are God's curse on Mankind! It's as though He's saying, 'Alright! go ahead and create somebody in your image...who denies YOUR EXISTENCE!'" :}
