Pecan Trees with Crape Myrtle & Fig Bushes...

2008.01.07

"The cycle of the four seasons speaks of the eternal Hope provided for us by the Creator Who became human to bring us the Gift of Salvation personally.

"The spring speaks of the blossoming of His first year of ministry at age thirty that was full of green growth and great promise. The long, hot, thriving summer of His second year of ministry.

"Autumn speaks of His third & final year of ministry that resulted in the turning & souring of public opinion against Him. He lost most of His followers, like trees lose their leaves. Finally, again similar to trees, Jesus' ministry was reduced to the original twelve limbs of ministry with which He started.

"As the winter of His death on the cross neared, even these limbs appeared lifeless,...until at last, the 'saps' ran underground to protect themselves from the 'blue norther' public opinion's cold, judgmental blast. (Please, believe me when I say that I mean no unkindness nor spirit of judgmentalism myself...for if I had been there, I, too, would have been one the 'saps who ran.'

"Yet, as Hope springs eternal, the spring speaks of Christ's Resurrection, and our Hope of eternal life in Heaven when we rely fully on His Character, His Gift, His Promise as justification for each person's ability to be there.

"How Amazing!"
