As a child who grew up in The South, much of the wisdom I learned was couched in "home-spun" metaphors.
(Now I know that home-spun wisdom is not unique to The South of the U.S., but I refer to it simply because I have personal experience to its existence here.)
The way Dad used to caution me to make wise decisions in life that require thought, not foolish decisions that I make on impulse was to use the title of today's post, "Remember, Son! Take care how you make your bed...because you'll have to sleep in it!"
The words of this post relate to the photos at this one point. It seems that Mr. Squirrelly (as Shanna & I like to call him) was foraging around in the back yard looking for pine straw and any other kind of fluff that he could find to make his nest just a bit more comfortable.
It was, also, great fun to see how well I could track him as he ran across the yard back to the tree...from whence he came. :)

What fun to be able to watch (and catch!) Mr. Squirrelly making his nest! I love the last shot!
