Sunny-Day Photography For The Aspiring Hobby-ist...

2008.04.29

Nature filtered through software...Watercolor filter! A "Tip-of-the-hat" homage to Sister Photoz! :) (Honestly, I wish that I could do this as well by hand and paintbrush as she can.)

Watercolor filter overlayed blending on top of reality...in this marriage of Life and ART!

A few days ago I gave a "How-To" Guide for improving images in harsh midday sunlight.

This second installment is merely a slightly more elaborate variation...using items that I still believe most people would find somewhat accessible.

Two A-frame ladders and a bed sheet can create a small, but adequate area for creating excellent photos still using the sunlight, but taking the edge off the harshness.

I am confident that you will agree! :) Thanks...

meiling ¡Hola, Stan! Many thanks for these wonderful tips. I'm just figuring out how to take close-ups (didn't realise that there was a button for this on the camera!) which I hope to post at some stage of my 'apprenticeship' (my husband is the expert –– and a very patient teacher). Best regards.
