The Friends' Cat...

2008.05.20
"Hey, you with the one big eye in the middle, state your business, and Move Along!"

Cats are truly unique creatures with minds and expressions all their own.

One of the more graphic descriptives that I have heard compares them to toddlers in their ability to follow directions. "Teaching preschoolers is like herding cats!"

I suppose if you have either or both, explanation is unnecessary. If you don't explanation wouldn't do it justice! :)

777STAN I'm sure you are being funny, too, but I'll explain...just in case you aren't. Cowboys herd cattle easily enough, but cats & toddlers have minds of their own. (I'm sure that you must have noticed!) :}

I have learned to allow an extra thirty minute to an hour for driving my preschooler & me anywhere. The experience of going anywhere with a four year old is like what I imagine driving a hovercraft would be. Landing "on a dime" means starting the turn very early and gradually slowing down, but if you forget and try to take a sharp corner, you'll end up way past your goal.

(I hope that made sense to somebody because it is really hard to describe.) :)
