I had my first gig yesterday! A local auction house asked me to come and take pictures of the lead auctioneer in action for their website. I had such a good time! I learned some more on-the-job-training of the use of my speedlite and ISO settings that would and would not turn out in this particular setting. It was clear to me that I have a long way to go before I have this art mastered but it was so fun practicing and learning.
The first picture is my favorite of the auctioneer interacting with his audience and the second picture is a piece of furniture I picked up for my entry way! I got it for $120 and this baby is SOLID wood - not even the back of it is veneer. It makes me happy every single time I walk past it.

Yeah! That's great. Congratulations. And the new furniture for your entry way is icing on the cake. He's very expressive. It must have been fun to shoot him.
