Sooo excited!

Our town has an annual July 4th parade down Main Street but this is the first year we've attended. It was a good age to take the kids to their first parade because they got SO excited. In the second picture, if you enlarge it or look real close, you can see that they are both jumping up and down at the sight of the fire trucks. The third picture is our son eagerly anticipating more firetrucks. They were so excited that they certainly made all the getting-there-hoopla worth it. If you're wondering where our youngest son is, he is off to the left in the first two pictures but he was sitting in a stroller and squinting so I cropped him out. He wasn't nearly so animated.

I learned a good lesson yesterday. I need to get in the habit of checking my settings every time I shot. I spent the whole parade shooting at an ISO of 1600 in the afternoon sun. I had to sharpen these three pictures and bump up the contrast to make them a little better but I wish I'd just done it right in the first place.
