Block Party

Every year our neighborhood HOA puts on a block party for all of us. This is our fourth year attending. They rent a moon bounce for the kids, we have beer for the adults and we all hang out and have dinner. Generally, a fun time is had by all. This year was no exception. We started the evening last night by telling the kids it was time for the party. In the first picture you can see them running up the path to the tot lot where the party is always held. Our littlest one (who is only two) surely doesn't remember the parties of years past but the older two kids were excited so he wanted to be involved in the fun too! This was also his first time in a bounce house. At first he cried when I tried to help him in, so I had to get in with him. Once we were inside, he decided it was fun to jump around and when our turn was over, he cried then too. After it was all over, several of us who live in a row came home and put our children to bed and sat out in our driveways talking and drinking some more beer. I'm so lucky to live in a neighborhood with these people!
