My husband and my boys arrived home safely yesterday afternoon from my in-laws house. We decided to have some chinese food delivered for our dinner. Throughout the entire meal our children were obsessed with the hot mustard and the soy sauce packets. After giving them soy sauce and repeatedly telling them they wouldn't like the mustard, my husband hatched an evil plan and decided to give them each a smidge of hot mustard on their plates. My toddler was the first to taste it. His reaction was funny but he took it in stride and just didn't touch it any more. That reaction prompted his older siblings to think that they could taste it too. You know the song "anything you can do, I can do better..." It holds true with siblings for sure.
My eldest son tasted his and immediately started crying. Pictured above you can see my husband offering him a second helping. My daughter thought she should be part of the scene and tasted some as well. She was doing everything she could to wipe it off her tongue.
Someday they'll learn that we know what we're talking about.

ha!!! funny how we do things like this!! My husband got similar faces with lemons!
That is so funny. You have so many smiley moments with your kids, they are quite the characters. :) I think kids think we tell them not to do stuff because we are trying to keep the fun stuff to ourselves. My niece is very suspicious of me that way. :)
Hahahah... toddler never trust their parents, do they? Just like my 3 y.o son... I told him that the whiskas is for our cats, and it's gross.. well, somehow he want to try it by himself.... gross...
