Peels of laughter over an animated ant.

Hunt and peck method of keyboard operation.

Already frustrated at the computer.

I hear ya buddy, I hear ya. Sometimes it wears me down too.

Doesn't she look like she knows what she's doing?

Yesterday, I was sitting at my computer and the television had no one talking - just sound effects - yet my children were giggling uncontrollably! This peeked my curiousity. I went to see some Disney animation where an ant is trying to steal a banana and has a series of mishaps. My children thought it was so funny that they asked me to rewind it and play it again for them three times! The first picture is an attempt to capture their delight.

My in-laws recently upgraded to a new computer and gave the old computer to my children. I didn't realize they hadn't given us a monitor too when I began to set up the computer station for the children yesterday. Oops. It's hard to explain to a three year old why it won't work yet. No matter. They all took turns pretending to be computer savvy yesterday afternoon.

All five of these pictures were taken using my speedlite with the Lightsphere attached. Just for experiment sake, I also took some without to compare since they were in a well lit room. If you have time to practice and master it, I can officially recommend the Lightsphere. The children are sitting in a very well lit spot in the keyboard series and the Lightsphere improved the pictures significantly. Additionally, don't just take my word for it, Scott Kelby recommends the Lightsphere in his book that I mentioned two days ago - The Digital Photography Book.

dweiskir You've just about talked me into purchasing one or more of Gary Fong's products. I'm torn between the light sphere and the whale tale. It would be nice if I knew someone close who had them so I could try them out. Too bad you're not close.. lol
