Last week when that ice storm hit, the schools were cancelled and we lost power for a few hours. My bedroom was the room that had the most sunlight streaming in so my children played with their toys on my floor while I tried to occupy myself. I spied my basket of yarn by my arm chair and decided to pick up on my 1 year (plus) old project I'd started for myself. I don't know how to knit with needles like a normal person and I've only had one lesson in crochet. I'm really no good at either of those. But a couple years ago I found these knitting looms at the craft store and I find them to be a fun way to make a hat or something. I'd gotten frustrated with this project (a long double thick scarf) long ago and set it down. I made so much progress on it while the power was out and I rediscovered my love for yarn! I have been sneaking up to my room every chance I get to work on a little knitting here and there. For some reason, my children don't feel the need to bother me when I'm knitting but when I go into my craft room - heaven help me. My poor neglected craft room.
