The week before Easter, I'd had over 150 eggs stuffed and ready to go. I was waiting for a day over spring break when the weather was nice enough to host a neighborhood easter egg hunt. It wasn't until the Wednesday afterward that the sun peaked out and the temperature got high enough to host the hunt - so here we are. The kids LOVED it. It was so much fun. We will be keeping this tradition at my house. The kids thought it was super to have the whole backyard and all the eggs to themselves and their friends. There were no bullies, no kids who were too big to be there... no one but the kids who were invited. And all the kids ended up with enough eggs to make it worth the time to host it (unlike hunts open to the public where my kids have gotten literally 2 or 3 eggs after waiting 30 minutes for it to start).
