Field Day

Today I surprised my daughter by showing up at her school for field day. She was pretty happy to have her mom there watching her run through all the events. At one event, the girls were having trouble getting the idea of what they were supposed to do so I stepped in to show them another example of how to do it. She said, "That's my mom!" She was so cute. Then I offered to help a little girl who was still having trouble only to turn around and find my daughter crying. She was saying that I was *her* mom and it wasn't fair that the other girl got my attention. Too cute. Later at another field day event, she asked me to be her partner since there was an uneven number of girls in the group. I was so flattered.

At the end of the time outside, I sought out my boys who I'd been watching from a distance at the baseball field and the playground. This is what they looked like when I caught up to them!
