And we're OFF!

We set out today to visit my in-laws for the weekend. The plan is to have a visit as a family, pick up the boy and drop off the girl for a week of only-child focus for a week.

Before we headed out of town, Hubby gased up (ouch!) and my son was repeating over and over that Daddy had bugs on his car and we needed to go to the car wash. Since this is something that delights all of our children, Daddy decided we should pay a visit. Fortunately, I'd kept my new camera (which I'm in LOVE with) up front. I was able to capture a few pictures of my boy's delight as the foam and water covered the car. Daddy was pleased to have some pictues of this experience to remember all the times he's taken the kids through the car wash when they go "adventuring" on the weekends.

Heading down the road, it was fun to try to capture some of the surrounding area from a moving car. I think the camera and I did a pretty good job considering we're going full speed ahead! Tunnel entrances that look like something from Star Wars, huge cranes, beautiful waterways and gigantic battle ships are some of the things we routinely see on these trips.
