Joined my army kakis for a photo walk around Chinatown this morning. We had a great time shooting together, not using our rifles and artillery guns this morning but with our cameras!

#2 Red
Red is a strong colour in composing pictures. Upon seeing this traditional red double happiness Chinese lattern, I use my zoom lens to compress the scene and to have a red background for the lattern.

#4 Reflections reflections
Photographers have this weird past time of squatting next to water puddles. This picture explains why we were squatting in public earlier... U never know what u r going to get.

#6 Pink fire in Chinatown
This flower struck me as its shape is likened to flames of a fire. Using a long focal length and large aperture to blur out the messy background and focus only on the pink flames.. I mean flower.

#8 Smart looking ah chek
If there is a Mr. Chinatown competition among the elderly in Chinatown, I think this Ah Chek (old uncle) would have given many a run for their money!

#11 Rows and rows of colourful lanterns
It's really a sight to behold! The temple staff are a hardworking lot! That's alot of lanterns to hang.

#12 Framing everything in
We were up in the hdb flats taking pictures of the temple and the cityscape. Rather then keeping the cityscape pics, I find this picture much more interesting to look at.

That is a great portrait in #3, is that the 70-200 that made that wonderful bokeh in that shot? #10 is great for the red color and the way the guy is sitting, very interesting. #11 is a wonderful display of lines shapes and color, nicely done:)
