Red Pearl, Anthyrium Hookeri

2007.09.06

This is a very unique looking plant noticeably pretty, which I found at the San Diego Botanical Garden. Its Scientific name is Anthurium Hookeri, or otherwise known as Birdsnest Anthurium, It is from Guyana and I could not help but take the shot.

ColorMeGreen Tx for sharing this. Very interesting, odd plant. Looks like jewels placed on the stem. Wonder what the natives made with this or how it was/is used. Fascinating..
