El Departamento de Estado de los Estados Unidos decide suprimir la palabra asesinato en sus informes sobre violación de derechos humanos en América Latina y en otras regiones. En lugar de asesinato, ha de decirse: ilegal o arbitraria privación de vida.
Hace tiempo que la CIA evita la palabra asesinar en sus manuales de terrorismo práctico. Cuando la CIA mata o manda matar aun enemigo, no lo asesina: lo "neutraliza".
El Departamento de Estado llama a las "fuerzas de paz" a las fuerzas de guerra que los Estados Unidos suelen desembarcar al sur de sus fronteras; y llama "luchadores de la libertad" a quienes luchan por la restauración de sus negocios en Nicaragua.

The Department of State of the United States decides to suppress the word murder in his reports on violation of human rights in Latin America and in other regions. Instead of murder, it has to be said: illegal or arbitrary privation of life.
