Sunday we went sweet potato harvesting and Yoshi's parents' sweet potato farm. We harvested sweet potatoes from one small field (all of the others were already finished) and helped till the soil to plant the wheat cover crop. The potatoes dry for 10 days before being peeled, cooked, and dried. We'll come back in a few weeks to help with the peeling.
After harvesting, we went to Mizusawa to try the famous local udon noodles for lunch and then visited the temple before having a relaxing bath at Ikaho onsen's outdoor bath.
