The Gunma Tourism and International Affairs Division sponsored a tour to explore Gunma. We visited Takatsudo Gorge to view the fall leaves. Then we went to the Karakuri Ningyo Museum, where mechanical dolls performed parts of old Japanese dramas. After that, we had lunch at Hotel Fusejima before going to Mikazuki Village. Mikazuki Village is a historical Edo-period village. It also has a ninja house (no pictures allowed) that has many hidden rooms and doors. There were also some crooked houses full of optical illusions like a ball that appears to roll upwards. After that we went to the Daiko-in Temple to see the Chrysanthemum. Typical for a Japanese bus tour, we didn't really have enough time at each place to really explore around and enjoy. But, it was enjoyable overall.
