June Self Portrait Day

So. This is what happiness looks like. I was very happy the day I took this portrait. It's very simple photo, I admit there isn't much to it, except for a basic expression of light, color, and happiness.

That concept has been really important throughout the last couple years for me... I remain grateful for every obstacle, every challenge, and every painful experience... because ultimately, they strengthen and empower me.

One of the reasons I wanted to start a monthly theme of self portraits is to force myself to fight my insecurities. So I'm just putting it all out there, with only a couple small edits.

For self portrait day next month, I plan on expressing a deeper sense of what "Self" is... to me.
