P.S!!!! Peche and I are creating "self-portrait day" on the first of every month! So the next one is May 1st -- I hope it's not too late notice for you to consider participating =]
i'll certainly think about it! Thanks for the heads up.

These portraits are not pretentious at ALL -- they are endearing! I don't think anyone could see any vanity in these, since you look so shy and modest more than anything.

I really love the second shot, it's beautifully soft and artsy with the lighting and composition!
ah thanks...the general consensus is that they didnt come across badly so im happy with that....its always a scary thing putting yourself out there.

I like all of these pictures. Maybe the rain was disappointing, but without it, none of these pictures would have been so great! (because I think the little droplet in #5 is wonderful, and fog, and the rainbow in the last picture...)

First one is my favorite, I think. =)
wel the rain itself wasnt dissapointing. Me not being prepared for it was. If i had some plastic bags I would have happily done some sealing and headed out with more confidence. In fact, im going to put some in my camera bag right now so im never unprepared again..hehe

Oooooo... looks like a lovely Day One! I like all the pictures of the ducks and the trees and the birds (LOL that means all of them) but my absolute favorite is #8 !!!
hehehehehe thanks hun :D
really? that's funny - I thought #8 was total crap until I had it loaded up on the comp - it surprised me!

This set is amazing...

I've never seen snow before. Well, I have seen the dirty slushy kind of snow, but that doesn't really count. These shots are beautiful, especially the macros of all the little frost flakes clinging to leaves.

The snowball looks like it's made ...
Thank you so much, lovely - if only you had seen what it took to get that shot of the maple without getting the camera wet and trying not to block the little bridge that the tree hung over! LOL it would have made for a very funny sight indeed :)
Ahhh, the things we do!

4, 16, and 19 really draw me in... for some reason, my favorites seem to always be the really simple, almost minimalistic images...

Do you ever use Photoshop? I wonder what #19 would look like with some "shadow/highlight" effect on it ( i.e. I'm a bit the same, Amy - I do like the more intimate, simplistic shots, so I completely get why you favour those.
Yes, I do, but very rarely as I'm not that great at it. But your suggestion is one that I am actually going to do!! I'll work on it over the next few days and be sure to put it up when done - thank you so much :)

Awwww, wowww! #8! My favorite too! That is such a fantastic macro, great choice of focus, angle, and composition... Also love #5 and 11... oh and the stairs in #10.. I'm gonna have to look at all of these enlarged now, they're so great!
You are too lovely :D hehehe Somehow, I just knew that you would love #8 :) Thank you so much, Amy :) x
