Constructed of doors and windows from the Ming and Qing dynasties
By far my absolute favourite piece in the entire exhibition. The sheer size of this is just phenomenal and I don't think photos do this any justice at all!
My program guide has these crazy photos of when this was collapsed in Ai Weiwei's studio in Beijing, transported to and installed in Kassel in 2007! So very cool!

This worked out so much better than I had anticipated, as this woman just stepped into the frame. I'm not even entirely sure how she had zipped by so quickly b/c I had been waiting for some time for people to walk by.
Most people sort of skirted around me b/c they probably thought I just wanted a clear shot of the sculpture. So lovely:)

Brilliant...really enjoyed this exhibition by Ai Weiwei (with a few exceptions)...and the Haus der Kunst itself is a place of great interest.
This was completed in 1937 and was intended as a showcase of German art and Nazi propaganda. After WWII, it was occupied the Americans and currently showcases international art.
It was also a nice warm place out of the cold rain:)
