I'm so glad I've only got a few more posts from my last trip...this one's dragged on for much too long. If you're still following this one, then you're quite the trooper;)
Also, this is a for Mike, as promised, no photos of food:)
I had to go on a day trip away from Frankfurt or else I would have gone completely mad. I had a really super lovely snowy day in Heidelberg. Felt like I was in a fairytale. And it was just a nice quite day to collect my thoughts before heading home. One more stop in Toronto to see Jenn, Steve & their little darling Emma...
In all honesty, a part of me wanted to go home, to sleep in my own bed and go about my routines. But a large part of me just wanted to continue on to see where my travels would take me and not return home for awhile. But I suppose reality sets in at some point. I look forward to the day where I can be a gypsy and go on an epic journey. <sigh> one day...
To end the day, I had a really nice dinner with another traveler in Frankfurt. We ended up at (very surprisingly) a fantastic Chinese restaurant that made one of my favourite dishes...perfectly! Before the evening was over, one of the waitresses was telling me her life story & all the gossip in the neighbourhood. Hysterical! All in all, a fabulous end to a trip that didn't start off particularly well;)
