I'm glad that the cherry blossoms are in bloom and it was dry enough to photograph these. It's been a grey & soggy couple of weeks. Spring is my favourite time of the year b/c of the blossoms!

I will miss my friend Elaine's cooking & baking! Especially at Christmas when she would let everyone pick the type of cake they wanted & then she would bake for a few weeks. That's love. This is a slice of her carrot cake with extra icing as requested;0)
I will really miss our Thursday afternoon chats & cookie breaks, as she's one of the lifeguards at the pool I go to. In fact that's where we met. She came up to me & offered some tips...b/c I'm a terrible swimmer & she probably didn't want to save me from drowning;0P

Elaine - full of mischief & one of the coolest & kindest people in my life! I had the wonderful pleasure of taking her head shots & this is my fave b/c it captures her character so well!

I love owls. Elaine bought me 1 each year for the past 2 years for my birthday. Last year, she was hammering away at the door after the shop closed so she could buy one. The lady came & opened the door for her so she could buy a mug. Hysterical! That's pretty awesome that she does silly things like this;0)

Gerry & Paul...wonderful couple & just lovely friends! They have always been around for me...great for laughs, food & drinks. I will miss them & their 2 fabulous dogs very much!

I will miss my brother & sister-in-law when they come home to visit. Now we will be on opposite coasts;0(

I will really miss going hiking, kiting & to film festivals with Irene & Felix. Really sweet couple & Irene is one of the best people on earth to travel with! I always believe that if you can travel with someone, they will be part of your life forever.

I meet way too many Germans in my life...here's another one! Birgit started off as a co-worker & very quickly became a good friend. Silly, just like the other Germans that I know;0)

I lived here for 4 years & I will miss my little apartment so very much. It was super cute, bright & just perfect in every way!

Today is my last day in Vancouver...tomorrow, I take off bright & early for Boston. I have so many mixed emotions with leaving again. A part of me will always be sad that I'm leaving once again. But, I'm very excited to head off on a new adventure! I've always been nomadic, so it's nice to be able to start off in a new city & new job & also make some new friends.
So a little look back on some of the things that will always make this city so special for me & remind me of why this will always be home; regardless of how far I travel or re-locate to.
