48/365 - Cedar Creek

2008.02.17
The top of the entrance to the Glow-worm caves

To the right, a beautiful creek, designed to entice insects to catch for the glow-worms :-)

Inside the first section of the Cave. We weren't allowed to take pictures any further inside, so as not to stress the Glow-worms

Can't remember the specimen name of this guy, except that he is a dwarf frog & is about the size of my fingernail!

In the Gardens of St Bernards

An old bicycle, left there for it's obvious charm ;-)

Family day out today.... :-) We went up to Cedar Creek Glow Worm Cave up at Mt Tamborine. In my 15yrs living on the Coast, I'd never heard of this until I happened upon a tourist brochure!
It's a beautiful Estate & the Glow Worm cave is unreal. I could only take pictures at the entrance & immediately upon entering the cave, because of course any light from the camera can be detrimental to the Glow-worms.
Afterwards, we went to St Bernards Estate for a forest walk. I think Cody took more pictures today then I did, lol. I have quite a few more I really like from today....so much for only one photo a day, lol!

ambersunsets Very cool set! What a cool place. If I had to choose favorites, it would be numbers 2, 5 and 6.
I should probably check on some tourist brochures from my town and see what I've been missing(:
