52/365 - Last days of Summer

2008.02.21
I like the B&W, Jake likes the colour

Nice Waves!

The Calm of the Rock Pools

Beautiful Burliegh

Rosella's flock everyday at sunset to these trees. By the thousands.

I can't believe our Summer has really come & gone so fast -- hardly even felt like it was here up until the past couple of days.
In a week it will be Autumn... wow.

The Beaches have taken a pounding from a cyclone that formed off the coast recently (actually it was closer to New Zealand than to us), and so once again our beaches have been closed & the waves have reportedly been massive.
However the one day I went down with my camera, all I saw was mostly white, foamy rough waves :-/
Hopefully the waves will still be big at Duranbah on Sunday, as the Roxy Pro (Professional Surfing Comp) kicks off this weekend, which should be good for some pics... maybe!

dhulsmeyer again #4 is my favorite. it's beautiful. wouldn't it be cool to be northern hemisphere for half the year and southern hemisphere for the other half. of course you'd have to pick your halves right or it would be perpetual winter =)

RodolpheDeus Such a beautiful set. Number two is a stunner, the composition is so powerful. And yep to me the tonal range in the first one could be improved to deflaten the image.
However great set and amazing place.
Cheers

ambersunsets Beautiful set! It always does seem that summer comes and goes so quickly. Number 2 is my favorite.

PaperWings These are beautiful. Number four is my favorite. Very serene and calm. It's so funny that your summer is ending and i am getting anxious for mine to begin.
You'll enjoy fall, it was a nice one. :)
