56/365 - My Beginnings

My first camera, given to me by my Father.
This was treasured by him, and is now in turn treasured by me.
I felt such a sense of something --I even now search hard for the right words to describe-- the day he passed it to me, because it was a such a moment of importance for me.
He believed in me, at a time when I was somewhat confused a little by life. Searching for myself, just a 'scrap of a thing', yearning to see my path in life unfold in front of me...he saw potential & possibility in a talent I was longing for but couldn't see myself.
For that, Dad, thank you.
