Warwick Castle & firing the Trebuchet

2010.06.01

A lovely view part of the castle and the river with the weir and water wheel

James was recruited to be one of the the giant siege engine's (the Trebuchet) motors, and he was to walk in the huge wheels that wind the rope readies the weapon for firing..

The Trebuchet is like a giant catapault that fires rocks, or smelly dead animals or what ever other revolting stuff the marauding armies could think of at the folk besieged in their castle in the olden days
