These 3 plat peaks are known as the 3 rondawels (Traditional African round dwellings with thatched roofs) they look much more like rondawels from the other direction...

It felt like we were standing on top of the world and the Drakensberg mountains stretched out to the horizon and the sky was vast as it can only be in Africa....
|
A few hours after arriving in SA, we hopped into my brother in law's big 4X4 and set off on a 5 hour drive to Ngeni Lodge, their piece of wild Africa in the private game reserve Jejane near Hoedspruit which runs alongside the Kruger National Park. We were now officially completely Knackered with a capital 'K' After sleeping for 12 hours we went to the top of Mariepskop, a peak in the Drakensburg that overlooks the Blyde River Canyon... Stunning!

What an amazing start to what I am sure will be a fantastic journey for us. #2 makes me feel like I am standing in the shot loking outward. It gioes on forever!!! Beautiful colors!
