Swainsons Francolin
Our happy tracker! John sitting in the tracker seat which is above the left headlight right on the front of the vehicle... as it happens it is a useful seat as the person sitting in it clears any spiders that have built their webs across the roads between the trees (as they do) before they get swept into the main cab... and they are BIG scary spiders..... If you are the tracker, it is good to keep your eyes open and your mouth shut...
Setting up a table of lovely goodies (cheeses and pate and smoked muscles and other such delicious stuff!) to have with our sundowners as we watch the sun go down... what better way to end a day?
Standing on our chosen anthill as the sun begins to drop...
with just the right amount of cloud to make it truly spectacular... and it just gets better!

Wow Ann. This is one of the most exciting adventures yet on PB. And for you to be able to share it with family and friends is so cool. "Sundowners" great title! John is a brave young man! Did he volunteer or did you make him do it?????
