Somebody told me once that you can revive a dying bee by giving it honey, I didn't believe it until I came across this poor chap in our conservatory who had completely given up on life and was buzzing feebly on the windowsill, and I gave him a small blob of honey. He staggered over to it immediately, unfurled mouthparts I didn't realise bees possessed and started to lap up the honey (quite literally! They have little tongues as well) and within 5 minutes he was strong enough to buzz off again... amazing, I felt like a super hero bug saver!
