Our county's government music department, in all their wisdom and with all the government cutbacks etc, have recently doubled their fees and sadly also made quite a few teachers redundant, John's trumpet teacher being one of the unlucky ones, so we dicided to stick with the original music teacher and go private, which also sadly meant he had to hand back his trumpet that he has been using for the last 2 years, which also meant that we had to buy him a trumpet of his own... nice for John... but instruments are expensive... anyway, here is John's shiny new and beautiful trumpet...

Glad he's continuing with his lessons. My nephew is a peripatetic teacher of guitar in schools... it breaks his heart when young students are obliged to hand their instruments back, even more so when parents are unable to replace them. The last photo is so full of glitz! marilynx · 2012-01-04: 11:04
