A very reluctant model...

One three footed hedgehog, but she is surprisingly nimble inspite of her missing foot and hardly walks with a limp at all...

The framework for Autumns new house...

fully insulated, to keep her cool in the summer and warm in the winter...

It has a sleeping compartment and a anti-draught hallway, this is the same design as the guinea pig hutch, so hopefully she will stay out of their hutch where she has been holding them hostage some mornings, as she sets up camp in their corridor and they cannot get out without climbing over her, and it isn't easy climbing over a grumpy hedgehog who does blowfish impersonations every time they get near her, without spiking your feet...

I have discovered that it is virtually impossible to get a good shot of a reluctant hedgehog.. Autumn has a very pretty little face but it is usually tucked away when we are about, but if you tickle her spikes in the right way she cannot help but unfurl, and then with your third hand you can get the perfect picture, only God in his wisdom, gave us only two hands, so you will have to make do with these rather unsteady photos of her.
Whilst still in carpentry mode and while his woodworking tools were still out and his workshop was full of sawdust, James decided she deserved a decent home and set about making it...

WOW! 1st - Autumn is so dang cute and cool looking! 2nd - Jame's is a fantastic craftsman and builder. Man would I like to hang out with him and learn some new stuff!! Autumn is lucky to have him in her employ!!!!!! hahahaha

Wow that's a pretty smart hutch , the guinea pigs will be more pleased than Autumn , maybe Autumn thinks she's a guinea pig too.

Oh wow! This is beautiful! I suppose most people would say that it is too much. But I can assure you that my wife and I feel the same way about animals, and are so happy that you do too!
