This is my Popi, as you can see he loves me a lot. Mom didn't say anything about him being in town, I guess 'cause she didn't really know so much as guess. But this afternoon she took me outside and there he was! I was very very excited, I forgot that I'm not to jump on people so it was a bit rough. But see the pictures? I learned my lesson, I calmed down and had some one on one time with my da'. Who by the way thinks my brown fur makes me scottish? I wish he would have explained that one to me.
Know he and his girl, Amy, both mentioned today that they don't understand why mom thinks my body image issues come from him; now I've said in the past that I don't have "body Image issues", I just don't like to eat. But in the interest of protecting my mom I will explain her reasoning to those who find her confusing.
Point 1) It started as I recall with a discussion mom had with my Sean about my abadonment problems (ie screaming and whinning and digging when mom leaves). This mom took complete responsibility for but said that if that's what I got from her, body image issues is what I got from dad. Which Sean agreed with.
Point 2) My da' is an Actor. End of Point
Point 3) Popi would look at my little puppy self with wonder and say to me over and over "you're going to be sooo big." Well I am a Great Dane/ Labrador Retriever Mix and had hugenormous paws but still comments like that do little for a girls self esteem.
Point 4) Is that she really doesn't understand why it would be such a issue - it was decided long ago and does no harm and there is little reason change it.
Point 5) Do you really want her to find something else to credit you for?
I was really happy to see him and get to maybe see him a bit for the next two weeks before he moves to New York with the majority of my aunts and uncles.
