As the river rises.... the ice is pushed over the banks.....it surrounds this restaurant........

slicing through trees and everything in it's path....

the ice moves furthur inland.....

It is an eerie sight......

The sound is like something out of a horror movie as the ice crashes and climbs......
|
Rain and above freezing temperatures cause flooding and ice jams along the Grand River. The swift flowing water pushes the ice over the banks threatening the waterfront properties. The ice slices through everything in it's path.
Evacuation of nearby homes is issued.

wonderful post - used to live next to the Bow River and I loved to hear it creak and groan as the ice started to turn back to water - incredible noises!
