A close up of some of Kalimpong's buildings. Amazing eh? There are pathways made of concrete steps (of all sizes) in between all of these places, connecting the streets running across the hill. It is truly amazing to be able to find our way around this place. This is not far below our house.

A typical Kalimpong clothesline. On the way through to here from Siliguri there is a military compound and the homeless people living in the area would hang their washing on the barbed wire fences. I couldn't get any photos though because I was packed 12 into a jeep to fit 8 and could barely move my arms.
