Pelling to Kechaperri Lake, Sikkim (2)

2009.05.23
This is a home we had to walk right through. There were several like this, all the children wanted me to take their picture.

This is another home, this time the old man wanted me to take his picture.

This is the dock made from bamboo down at Kechaperri Lake (in the shape of a right human footprint, a very holy lake). There are tibetan prayer flags all around the lake. The cylinders at the side of the dock are there for the devout to turn as they walk along the dock, each turn represents a prayer. It was a very very quiet and peaceful place. Matt went for a run around then the next morning, no one was around and he started thinking about tigers...
