I found this outside the oil factory on a notice board. We couldn't tour the factory because the week before three men had been burnt alive so it was closed to all public foot traffic. This is the notice of compensation for those men.

This is a photo I took at the Digboi museum of their early use of elephant labour. They used almost a hundred elephants to help set up the oil wells. It looks cruel.
